The ride to the fourth and FINAL toy story movie was a long one but very enjoyable. The thought and personalities that they give to characters and the attention to details enriches this series so much one could say this is a PERFECT series. In each film we are taught lessons and given advice on being a better person all while making a funny and very entertaining movie filled with characters that we feel for and can relate to at an extant. Toy story made the characters feel so real the viewer has invested their attention and feelings toward the characters in the film. We were taught jealousy in the first film, then we were taught the choice between friends and the life you want in the second film, then in the third film we got "closer" from the series by showing us that at one point we need to move on. With all of this laid out what else could we be taught from a fourth film?

Back Where We Left Off?

At the end of Toy Story 3 we have the emotional scene in which Andy plays with his toys for the last time then processed to giving them to Bonnie. The scene ends on a happy note, showing how happy she was to play with ALL the toys, well it seems she got over some of them pretty quickly. We start of Toy Story 4 with a scene that showcases what happened to Bo Peep. We are showed Woody rescuing one of the toy in the dark in the middle of a rain storm when we over hear Molly ,Andy's sister, no longer wanting Bo Peep. We then see Bo Peep going with another man. Woody decided to get her back to the house when Bo Peep tells woody " It's time for the next kid". Woody considers going with her but then decides its best to stay for Andy. We then cut to a scene that shows what life has been like for woody ever since Andy left. We are shown that woody is no longer played with by Bonnie and struggles to find a way to be their for Bonnie.Woody decides to go to kinder garden orientation in order to take care of her, there we are introduced to Forky. Forky is a pencil holder made by trash and a spork. Forky immediately becomes an important toy to Bonnie because it was hard for her to make friends due to her shyness. Once Forky was introduced we were made well aware that he doesn't know what he is and thinks he belongs in the trash.

The Trip

Shortly after we meet Forky we are told Bonnie is going on a road trip. Woody then makes it his number one priority to protect Forky at all costs. After many failed attempts at going into the trash, due to Woody protecting him, Forky decides his only way to espace is through the window and so he jumps out the RV. Woody then Jumps out the RV to go save him leaving Buzz in charge of the gang. Woody then finds forky and talks about his past to him and explains to Forky why he is important to Bonnie. Shortly after they catch up to the RV woody sees the lights of Bo Peeps lamps. We are then taken to an antique store where we meet Gabby Gabby and her assistant manikins. Gabby Gabby shows interest in Wood's sound box and attempts to take it but fails and is only able to take Forky. While running away, Woody bumps into Bo Peep and they reunite. While all that is happening buzz attempts to fly to Woody but fails and ends up turning into a grand prize for a carnival game. There we meet Ducky and Rabbit that, at first are mean to Buzz, but then decide to stick with him when buzz “promises” them a kid.

The Remainder Of The Film

The movie has so much story and so much detail giving it all here would literally fill up 5 pages so we do recommend you to go see the film. So here’s a brief summary; Buzz finds Woody and they both set off to take back forky. We are then taken back to the antique store where Woody makes a mistake and almost gets taken by Gabby Gabby. When they finally get Forky, Bo peep and woody fight over messing up the plan then Woody is then taken back to the antique store where he talks to Gabby Gabby and she opens up about her her reason to wanting the sound box and woody decides to give her his sound box. Bo Peep then comes back for woody, Gabby Gabby then ends up going along with them . Gabby Gabby finds her kid while on the way to Bonnie and is finally happy. Woody then has to choose between his friends and the person he loves. At the end buzz tells woody it’s ok to leave then we get an emotional scene where they all say their goodbyes. The credits role and we get a couple of scenes showing what woody is doing shortly after. Yet again I missed many details in the summary and left out many parts of the movie so I do recommend seeing it.

The Review

All together this movie is a masterpiece. It’s filled with jokes that made everybody, including myself, in the theater laugh. The movie is filled with a lot of great great story line that shows our beloved characters going through problems that we could relate to. The movie in many occasions give a character a scene where they show their emotions and feelings. For example; when duke caboon gets upset over his kid being disappointed at the reality when he found out duke couldn't really do all the stunts shown in the commercial, the scene really gives you a moment so you can feel for him and understand where dukes sadness comes from. There was not a point in the movie in which I had my attention taken away from me due to lack of story, the movie stayed consistent and entertaining . The animation is also something that played a big factor in making this the great film that this was. The visuals looked like nothing we have seen before. The animators did an amazing job making this film as realistic as they could and they hit the bullseye *pun intended*. The movie took many things from the real world and made them look so real one could get confused with the animation and reality. The only negative thing that I can think of about this film is that the scene in which Woody parts ways with the rest of the gang isn’t emotional enough, but it was still sad enough to make you want to shed one tear. This movie will without a doubt be one of the best movies this decade, that being said I give it a 9.8/10. This is a movie that everybody in the family will be able to watch and enjoy from the oldest member, to the youngest!
